The Korea Iron and Steel Association announced on the 25th that it held the 2nd Steel-AI Safety Environment Council in 2023 to share domestic and overseas smart safety technology cases and introduction plans and the current status of on-site safety application of robot automation technology.
This consultative body had time to share opinions related to the topic and gave lectures by experts in the steel industry, ICT industry, and research institutes such as POSCO Holdings, Hyundai Steel, SeAH Besteel, and KG Steel.
GSIL CEO Lee Jung-woo, who gave an expert presentation, gave a presentation on the topic of introducing smart technology from a safety perspective. CEO Jeong-Woo Lee explained smart safety cases at home and abroad, and emphasized the importance of introducing appropriate smart technology for the advancement of smart safety and health technology and systematic construction and operation. In addition, it was announced that support is needed so that safety managers can effectively perform safety management for accident prevention and damage minimization.
