On October 15, the parliamentary inspection of the National Assembly's Climate, Energy, Environment and Labor Committee introduced a smart safety technology that prevents falls by using artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor whether safety rings are fastened in real time when high-risk tasks such as complaints are performed.
This technology is a "smart safety ring" jointly developed by GSIL and Samsung E&A, and is a new smart safety technology designed to prevent crashes at industrial sites by recognizing the status of workers' safety rings not being fastened and providing immediate notification.
At the parliamentary inspection, the need to spread industrial safety technologies using AI to the field was discussed, and technologies such as smart safety rings were noted as major technologies that can contribute to the prevention of industrial accidents. Currently, the smart safety hook has been verified at the Samsung E&A site and is designed to effectively recognize whether or not the safety hook is fastened despite the complex dynamic factors of various workers and workplaces.
