The Asia Pacific region's largest smart city event, 'World Smart City Expo (WSCE 2023)', was held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang for three days from the 6th to the 8th of this month.

At the Smart City Excellent Company Awards ceremony, companies and CEOs who have excellently promoted smart city implementation with smart city technology, products, and services, and experts from organizations who have contributed to revitalizing the domestic smart city industry received awards.
Six recipients of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's awards include Yung Korea Electric (construction), KIOT (transportation), GSIL (international cooperation), Acontech (security and safety), Crocus (energy and power), and Eight Tech (medical and environment). The company won the award. Technine and Citicon CEO Lee Jae-sik received the jointly-named award in the safety and CEO categories, respectively. Gangnam-gu Office in Seoul won the local government award. Kim Geun-dae, head of the Network Security Division of the Information and Communications Planning and Evaluation Institute, received the Achievement Award.
